Sunday Rides with Joe
Want to go for a casual bike ride, but don't have anybody to go riding with? Or maybe you're looking for a weekend activity for the family?
Come out on Sunday mornings (weather permitting) for a bike ride! Starting at our shop in downtown Schwenksville, we ride the Perkiomen Trail down to Collegeville and back (approximately 10.5 miles). Riders of all ages are welcome.
We offer bike rentals, helmets and accessories for those in need.
We hope to see you this Sunday!
"We are a group of seniors who meet every week to ride various rails to trails throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. Though our primary focus is trail riding, we do occasional rides on secondary roads. Our club is a diverse group who have found that bicycling is a great way to exercise and make new friends while having fun. We have over 100 people who receive our ride schedules which offer 3 - 4 weekly rides. Our rides are not competitive but are at a comfortable speed - usually 11 - 13 mph. Most of our ride distances are 20 - 25 miles though some of our "lunch rides" can be 30 - 35 miles. Our riders are of various skill levels - from those who are getting back on a bike after many years to those who ride thousands of miles a year.
I have found that riding with other people helps encourage you to ride longer and more often. If you are interested in cycling at a comfortable pace, exploring new trails and meeting new people - I hope you will join us on a ride." - Bill Greiner
