As good as it gets is never good enough at Jamis, and their disc brake edition Xenith proves it. The Xenith was already a multiple award-winning, race-vanquishing powerhouse that Team Jamis—Sutter Home did not want tampered with. But Jamis' engineers and designers weren’t content with today’s accolades and podiums when tomorrow’s beckoned. The development effort on this bike was not just about adding disc brakes; it was about re-designing the Xenith to make it even better. The result? A radically new frame and fork design, and wholly new manufacturing process, which combined deliver the lightest, stiffest, most aero road bike they have ever produced. The LTD model features the flawless SRAM RED eTAP electronic drivetrain and powerful SRAM RED hydraulic disc brakes. This premium build includes a 3T Discus carbon wheelset and is finished with 3T's carbon handlebar, stem, and seatpost.
Electronic drivetrain systems deliver excellent shifting, easy set up, and solid battery life. Here are some benefits of electronic shifting that you don't want to miss.
Shifting Performance
Electronic shifting systems use powerful servo motors to rapidly shift the chain. Because microprocessors and sensors constantly monitor every aspect of the system, they shift with surgical precision and without chain rub.
Customization
Many major systems have customizable shifting. Some have the ability to add remote shifters for common riding positions, and some even allow you to change the functions of the shifting buttons.
Dependability
Electronic groupsets are responsive and consistent. There are no cables to stretch and wear out, so you get a flawless shift every time. The added bonus is you'll never have to replace a derailleur cable ever again.
