Enduralin: it's the difference between the tentative first go of the year and the ripping third lap of a midsummer day. It's the ease of knowing your suspension is dialed. It's a boost of confidence, speed and control when a bit more of any could make a winning formula. Enduralin is the extra bit of fun that turns a good ride into a great one— the shouting of the crowd, the cowbells, a flow state of euphoria, accelerated reaction time, and enhanced perception. It's the difference between a good ride and an all-time ride. And the Orbea Rallon has Enduralin flowing through its veins.
The frame utilizes Orbea Monocoque Race (OMR) materials, an optimum blend of high-modulus and high-strength fibers. Prepreg carbon sheets are laser cut to minimize excess materials and overlap, and hours of pre-molding ensure optimal compaction with the smallest amount of carbon. The frame has a unique feature in the front triangle that offsets the shock relative to center and adds an asymmetric support on the non-drive-side. This progressive design stiffens and strengthens the pivot system, offers incredibly easy access to damper controls, and increases the room available for a tool kit and water bottle. It also allows the top tube to be moved down for an extremely low standover.
The Rallon’s Pure Enduro geometry features a slack head angle, long cockpit, long wheelbase, and steep seat angle. Additionally, the geometry can be adjusted trailside for a more aggressive position—a simple rotation of the shock mount pin drops the BB by 7mm and slackens angles by .5-deg. Boost spacing moves the chainline outboard by 3mm, increasing the space available at the bottom bracket. This doesn’t sound like much but means that tire clearance can be increased without sacrificing drivetrain clearance or swingarm rigidity. All of it adds up to more durability, nimble handling and a bike that tracks better through rough terrain.
A high-performance components spec, including Fox suspension and a SRAM 1x drivetrain, make the Rallon race-ready out of the box. A dropper post, quad-piston brakes, and Maxxis Aggressor 2.5-inch tires amplify its shredding abilities.
